American Board of Family Medicine
The Family Medicine Certification Longitudinal Assessment (FMCLA) is an alternative to the one-day examination that delivers 25 exam questions quarterly for you to complete flexibly on your own time, at the location of your choice, on your computer or tablet. More aligned with adult learning principles, this approach allows for use of references and promotes greater retention of new knowledge to be applied in daily practice. This program was initially offered to currently certified physicians in their 10th year of certification who were due to take their examination before December 31, 2019. Thanks to the participation of this pilot group and the initial success of the program, we are pleased to offer this option to currently certified physicians in their 10th year of certification who are due to take their examination before December 31, 2020.
